Know the numbers before you play
RTP stands for Return to Player, expressed as a percentage. It represents the theoretical amount of money a game will pay back to players over a large number of rounds. For example, a slot with 96% RTP will theoretically return Rp 96 for every Rp 100 wagered over millions of spins. This is a long-term statistical average, not a guarantee for individual sessions.
House edge is the mathematical advantage the casino has over players, expressed as a percentage of each bet. It's the inverse of RTP: if a game has 96% RTP, the house edge is 4%. Lower house edge means better odds for the player. Understanding these percentages helps you choose games that maximize your entertainment value and playing time.
Knowing RTP and house edge allows you to make informed decisions about which games to play based on your bankroll, risk tolerance, and entertainment goals. Games with higher RTP provide better long-term value, though short-term results will always vary due to randomness. At net89, we display RTP information for all our games to promote transparent and responsible gambling.
Essential strategies for responsible gambling
Before you start playing, decide how much money you can afford to lose without affecting your daily expenses, bills, or savings. This amount should be completely disposable income — money you'd spend on entertainment like movies, dining out, or concerts. Never gamble with money you need for rent, food, utilities, or other necessities.
Split your total bankroll into smaller session budgets. For example, if you have Rp 2,000,000 for the month, divide it into 8 sessions of Rp 250,000 each. This prevents you from losing your entire bankroll in one bad session and extends your playing time across multiple occasions.
Each individual bet should be between 1-5% of your session bankroll. If you have Rp 250,000 for a session, bet Rp 2,500 to Rp 12,500 per round. This conservative approach protects you from rapid losses and gives you enough rounds to experience the game's variance properly.
Before playing, decide when you'll walk away. A common strategy: stop when you've doubled your session bankroll (100% profit target) or lost 50% of it. Stick to these limits. Chasing losses or getting greedy after wins are the two biggest bankroll killers.
Keep a simple log of your deposits, withdrawals, and net results. Review it monthly. If you notice you're consistently losing more than you budgeted or spending more time gambling than planned, these are red flags that your gambling may be becoming problematic. Our platform provides detailed transaction history to help you monitor your activity.
Seek help immediately if you: borrow money to gamble, lie to family about gambling, miss work due to gambling, feel guilt or anxiety about gambling, or can't stop despite wanting to. Visit our Responsible Gaming page for resources and self-exclusion options.

How international betting brands connect with Indonesian football fans
The Indonesian football market has seen significant growth in sponsorship partnerships between international betting operators and local clubs, particularly in the BRI Liga 1. These partnerships reflect the massive popularity of football betting among Indonesian sports fans and the commercial value of the domestic league.
Major clubs such as Persija Jakarta, Persib Bandung, Bali United, PSM Makassar, Arema FC, and Persebaya Surabaya have attracted various commercial partnerships over recent years. While specific naming rights and jersey sponsors change seasonally, the trend shows increasing international brand interest in Indonesia's top-tier football as a marketing channel.
Indonesian bettors follow global leagues extensively. The English Premier League (EPL), La Liga, Serie A, Bundesliga, and UEFA Champions League all carry shirt sponsorships and stadium advertising from betting operators visible to Indonesian audiences via international broadcasts. This creates brand recognition even when operators don't sponsor Indonesian clubs directly.
The Indonesian national team (Timnas Indonesia, nicknamed the Garuda) draws enormous betting interest during AFF Cup, FIFA World Cup qualifiers, and Asian Cup campaigns. Matches involving Timnas generate some of the highest betting volumes in Southeast Asia. While national team sponsorships are typically handled by domestic brands, international betting operators benefit from the surge in match-day wagering across all platforms.
Note: The information above describes general industry trends and publicly known sponsorship patterns in Indonesian and international football. It does not represent net89's own sponsorship portfolio. Always verify current sponsorship relationships through official club and league announcements.
